1937 was a special year for Pereira d’Oliveira. It was the year when the Estado Novo government, under the authoritarian rule of Salazar, expropriated the land in São Martinho on the south coast of Madeira. Madeira är liksom Port skapat för den engelska marknaden. Därav de många engelska namnen som fortfarande lever kvar, och även några engelska familjer. Även druvorna är anglofierade. Sercial är det engelska namnet för Cerceal och står för de torraste vinerna. Är du på fastlandet så återfinns Cerceal do Dao men denna [...]
